OPCEx Excel Add-In Features

Easy to Use
OPCEx Excel Add-In allows you to connect your OLE for Process Control(OPC) -compliant systems and insert OPC server data into an Excel workbook via graphical browsing for OPC items. OPCEx works within Excel so users don’t need to learn a new interface. This familiarity allows all plant personnel to read OPC data from devices with point-and-click ease.

OPCEx provides one-click access to read and write OPC server data.

OPCEx can collect data from different OPC servers at the same time.
OPC Compatibility
OPCEx supports OPC Data Access Standards 1.0 and 2.0. It operates with any local or remote OPC server.
Update to the Next Cell
OPCEx provides an easy way to create charts containing OPC server data by inserting the changed values into the next cell.
Configuration Management and Recipe Transfers
Data can be put manually into Excel cells or read from the OPC server and saved in an Excel worksheet, then written back to the device via the OPC server when the device needs to be reconfigured.
Array Data Type Support
OPCEx supports OPC array data type. The maximum number of array elements is limited by the number of Excel sheet cells. Array type items can be read from an OPC server and written to an OPC server.
Trigger-Based Updates
OPC item values can be set to update whenever the trigger condition is satisfied. This feature allows data to be recorded only when trigger conditions, such as alarms, are met.
